IWD Process Best Practice Question

Hi All,

I am curious to se how others manage changes with IWD Process and business needs change. For example, in my business we have three process, lets call them;

EML - A
EML - B
EML - C

The worktypes historically received to this have always been email hence part of the reason why they are each prefixed with 'EML -'. Moving forward these emails are going to be received to our CRM with the interactions instead being created from a database capture point. AS a result the interaction will no longer be emails in the traditional sense but workitems. (The look and feel will still be like that of an email from what I am told)

There is a discussion now as to how we should transition. Should we create new IWD Processes and call them
A
B
C

If we were to do that, what have other done in regards to decommissioning the existing processes so that A) they are not visible and B) historical reporting is not affected?

Another idea I had would be to simply rename the existing processes ( to A, B C per above) but am also concerned about the impacts this may have on historical reporting etc.

Would really appreciate some guidance from the experts.

Thanks,

Brent
