Sip Server-Trunk Authentication
« on: December 03, 2019, 04:40:45 PM »
"I applied all the settings as follows, outbound call is OK  but I can't get an invite message from trunk ip when
Inbound call is made."
"I use routing point as an endpoint."

Table 79: Enabling SIP Authentication
Objective Key Procedures and Actions
1. Configure the inbound
endpoint.
In the endpoint DN, configure the following options:
• authenticate-requests—Set this option to the value INVITE.
Incoming INVITE requests to this DN will result in an
authentication challenge.
• password—Enter the password for realm authentication. The
INVITE sent in response to the challenge must include this
password, otherwise the call will not be authorized.
2. Configure the Trunk. In the Trunk DN, in the AuthClient section, configure the following
options:
• username—Enter a username to be used in the response to the
Digest challenge.
• password—Enter the password to be used in generating the
response.

Traces and more details please. Is the inbound trunk actually in service? Do you see SIP OPTIONS etc? What does a Wireshark / tcpdump show?

When we open wireshark there is no invite message coming from registered sip address.

Is there any SIP traffic in the Wireshark trace?

If there is no incoming SIP traffic then you need to involve provider to find out the reason.

Hi,
Unable to open new Thread, So asking on the same thread.

I am in trouble that customer have single gateway and want to configure 2 different trunks for outbound calls. for example

123 and the second is 234.    i was configured 2 different trunk with different prefix  and sip server call pass to gateway successfully with respect to there prefix and cpn, but once call reached at customer mobile it always shows the same number 234 to customer mobile screen.

Is there any miss configuration from genesys side or should i ask ISP to check the configuration at their end.
