TServer option

Hi all.
One simple question. The agents when they make outbound calls they press at the start the number (usually 0 or 9 or 09 or 89) in order to go out of the PBX and then they press the number that they will wish to dial. can i set this number(this prefix) somewhere? Is it an option in TServer? I can't find it.
Thanks in advance

Dias,
Are you using OCS or do you mean agents dialing from a softphone. If you mean from a softphone the you can code in the shortcode and if it's OCS there is an option to set this shortcode (As I remember).

  • On TServer no way.
On softphone as Haldane said, add the prefixes to the code.
On OCS options, the public_network_access_code option does what you need, however this only works for predictive or progresive dialing. For preview the number shown to the agent will be the one from the calling list and he will need to add the prefix for dialing outside.

    Thanks for your replies.
Until this moment we don't use OCS. Now a very stupid question. If the agent uses the ms crm(the gplus adapter) how can he code this prefix?

    Dias,
You could always just ammend the shortcode to the data in the list if thats where it is coming from.

Actually, there are several ways you can do that:

    1. modify your existing softphone
    2. modify your pbx to automatically add prefix
    3. modfy your T-Server options

different version of t-servers have different ways of dealing with this.
What PBX are you using? Because then you can either define a "trunk" and add prefix to that.

If you are using MS CRM (and thus GPlus adapter, just add the prefix to the begining of TDial number.
Did you get the GPlus adapter manual?

i have the gplus adapter manual(deployment and user's guide)

The pbx that we are using is Nortel meridian(we are connected through Nortel symposium 4.2)

I spoke with pbx guys and they told if we add a prefix then in order to call an extension in the same pbx would not be possible(becuase we have to dial the whole number)
yes,  i use the gplus adapter for ms crm. What do you mean to just add the prefix to the begining of TDial number?do you mean just every time the user to add this prefix in front of the  number?the number is saved in the database without the prefix and if the agents wants to do click to dial it is not possible because has has to add the prefix
