Deleted objects in Hyperion

Good morning,

I deleted some queues from config manager, because are not longer used. There is any way to delete them for the hystorical reports? I mean, there is any way to avoid showing them in Hyperion?

Thanks in advance!

Toni

Can I ask why you would not want them to show?
Surely you would still like to be able to report on them historically for a period of time?

Hi Toni,

When an object is deleted from the configuration then the attributes "DELETE_TIME" and "DELETE_TIME_GMT" of the table "OBJECT" (in DataMart database) are updated with the date and time of deletion. So it's possible to modify the report and not show the objects where "DELETE_TIME" doesn't equal NULL.

As I know there is no easy way how to remove some object with its statistics from DataMart. It's possible but you need someone with very deep knowledge of DataMart.

Lastly - Mark's note is very important because we're talking about historical reporting. If the deleted objects won't be shown then you can expect a lot of questions from business users e.g. why number of handled calls per agent group and summary of handled calls of group's members don't equal etc.?

You're right, but the problem is that those queues have never been used, they were created wrongly in the config manager, and now, people from the business are seein queus that are not used and with a similar name as the ones that are using.

Thanks

Now that's a good reason! It makes complete sense then :]
Can understand why you would not want them to see VQs that are completely irrelevent to them.

Sounds like you are using a Report based on All Queues?  In that case, every Queue will be displayed, even if it is no longer in use...

2 ways you could exclude the Queues which are no longer in use;

1. You could place a exception in the Query, Filter or even in the Sort sections of the Report, specifically to exclude the Queues you no longer want your business partners to view... So they would be incldued in the Query, but removed when it comes to displaying the results.

2. You could create a DNGroup of the Queues you want to report on, and then base your Queue Report on that DNGroup.

- I hope either of these ideas help?

Hello!

Sorry, but in my first post I didn't explained me as goos as it should be :P

Really I'm not using all queues for reporting, I'm using DNGroups. Are those DNGroups that are not being used any longer the ones I want to delete or at least, not show.

Any ideas my friends? ;)

Tony Tillyer how can I filter them in order they not appear in the DNGroup selection window from Hyperion?

Thanks a lot!

Toni,

If the DNGroups you won't to show were deleted from the configuration then look at my previous post. If the DNGroups are still present in the configuration then the easier way will be modification of SQL query to exclude selected DNGroup names.

  • Hi René,

I'm trying to do the query on the selection queues on Hyperion, but seems not working,  I'm a newby on Hyperion, may be I'm not doing it in the correct way :P

Where should I apply the query?

    Thanks in advance!

You should be able to Filter out your Query be excluding Queue Names in the Results - something like "NOT = QueueName1 OR NOT = QueueName2" etc. applied to the Results Column/Field where the Queue Names are shown.

So, your main Query pulls in the DNGroup with all the Queues listed as seen in CME but your Results can be Filtered to exclude the ones you don't want to report on.

    Make sense?
