Hyperion Reporting Jobs

Greetings.
I've finally been able to figure out the installation for Hyperion 8.3, and how to publish files.
Now, I'm trying to publish jobs, using the standard report templates (Agent.bqy, etc), and I'm not able to get the jobs to run automatically, even after setting up defaults.
For example: in the Job defaults, I set "Schedule Level Query" to "Contains Month", but I still get daily level statistics.
I also set specific agents in the "Presentation Name" field for the "Summary Level ObjQuery" , but still get the entire list of agents ( fortunately, there are only 40 of them).
Even if I set the Agent parameter for "Schedule Query" to a specific agent, I still get the entire list of agents.

I'm trying to use the CCA 7.1 ERS templates.

Am I missing something obvious?

Going out on a limb here...

Your Query and more specifcally the Tables are what determine the resultant Aggregation level being provided in your Report, not the Job Options.  If you want Monthly stat returns, the structure of your Query and the base Tables must reflect that parameter.  If you are setting the Job to "Contains Month", you will more than likely get up to a month's worth of Daily stats, since the base Tables contain that level of Aggregation.  The same is true of the Presentation Name - you need to ensure you set the Limit parameter in the Query itself, not within the Job.

I'd check the parameters you are setting in the Query by running it stand alone first.  I'd also check your R S and T Tables to ensure you are getting the right Aggregation levels and Object.  When you are happy with the results you get from running it stand alone, then publish it into the Job List.

PS: I'm going out on a limb because the information here is based on Brio, rather than Hyperion...  ::)

Unfortunately, I do not know much about Hyperion Intelligence Designer, other than how to open reports and run them interactively. This is the reason I am trying to work with the base CCA reports.

If I run it interactively, the first thing I get is the "Navigation Assistant", which permits me to select my level of Aggregation. Once that is chosen, then I get to pick the dates and reporting objects. When I run it interactively, I get the correct level of aggregation, the correct objects, and the correct time period. So I at least know the report itself works as it should.

Why it's not taking the parameters is where I'm stuck. It could be that the report itself is not designed to be run as a job. I guess that's why I'm trying to find out if someone else has had luck with this.

Regarding setting the values in the query,  my goal is to be able to use the same report to run multiple jobs, for different sets of agents - for example, one job runs A through M and the other N through Z. If I can avoid having multiple reports that are exactly the same, except for the parameters, I would like to, and instinct tells me it's possible. HOW, is my quest...
