Hi,

can someone please tell me:

1. what do you need to use VTO? Is there a server?
2. what license do you need for VTO? Is it different from Voice Treatment license usually common to IVR?
3. Will VTO become EOL?

I would appreciate any comments you might have regarding VTO and how useful it is!
Also, I am confused as to major difference between VTO and GVP.
Best regards,
Vic

VTO = Voice Treatment Option
The license you need is:
FEATURE VTPort genesys.d 7.0 1-jan-00 30 57721B19C682 NOTICE="(Alcatel) Production" SIGN=DAC8FE5C0B9C

I'm not sure if it will became EOL, it is still active however have not seen any new versions of it.
It's an IVR with complete integration with Genesys and can use statistics.
Management at the beginning can be a little hard but it ends very easy at the end.

You need a Dialogic card and the VoiceTreatMent Server, depending on the size of the call center you handle it can be embedded into the Genesys server or as any other component have it outside.

If you get Genesys Express licenses, 30 VTO ports come included.

Used VTO at my last place;  In essence, a Dialogic card sits on a PC Server and provides for hard wiring between it and the local ACD/PBX.  Much fun was had when things like Ring Tone Generators failed on the PBX, causing the lines to remain unanswered.... So many things that can go wrong either side of the CTI Link and also with the config of both the card (via VTServer) and the Port Settings (via ERS/URS/NRS)... :(

Genesys appear now to prefer to push GVP (EE) or GVP (NE) these days but I have to say I've yet to see an EOL for VTO...

Maybe I should write up a Rough Guide..? lol
