Position for Systems Engineer at Genesys Labs

As part of the Customer Marketing team, you will be responsible for delivering product demonstrations and technical presentations to customers/prospects, partners, and analysts in the Genesys Executive Briefing Center. Additionally, you will be responsible for the technical development and documentation of those demonstrations for the EBC as well as for field Sales Engineers and Partners.
You will work closely with members of senior management, product management, and product marketing to create and execute agendas that support closing deals. You will assist in managing the technical and physical infrastructure in the Executive Briefing Center and contribute to follow-up reporting and metrics.


  • Prepare and deliver product demonstrations and presentations to business and technical audiences;
  • Build relationships with members of senior management, Account Executives, Product Management, and Product Marketing to craft agendas to help close sales;
  • Act as ‘host’ to visitors to the Executive Briefing Center. This includes interacting with customers ranging from technical staff to C-level executives;
  • Ensure functionality of technical and physical infrastructure;
  • Create product demonstrations to illustrate the Genesys value proposition.


  • Ability to sell Enterprise software;
  • Credible and confident appearance and presentation skills to all levels of business users: technical to business, implementer to strategist, call center technologist to CEO;
  • Ability to clearly describe complex architectures (i.e. ‘white-board’ skills) and to articulate value of technical products;
  • Previous experience with system integration projects helpful. Familiarity with several CRM packages (SAP, PeopleSoft, Siebel, Oracle, etc.), IVR platforms (VXML technology), or VoIP (SIP) would be useful;
  • Ability to develop applications using .Net or java SDK’s;
  • Ability to implement multiple simultaneous technical projects for demonstration environment and work closely with Engineering and Telecom departments;
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting skills; logical;
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Excellent team player. Demonstrated focus on customer satisfaction and commitment to role. Willingness to work extremely hard across all aspects of role;
  • Practical technical experience – programming, system analysis/design, or comparable;
  • Excellent ‘host’ – personable, friendly. Ability to relate and interact with customers from different geographies and backgrounds;
  • Flexibility to accommodate last-minute changes;
  • Background with CTI technology would be useful;
  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • 2-4 years customer facing experience or equivalent;
  • 2-4 years hands-on technical experience.
