A very interesting point.
To be frank, I do not think that anyone is reporting anything to Genesys; however, there is no reason why Genesys should not help with some of the posts here. This forum was not created to flame Genesys nor was it created to advocate it. The point of this board is to help each other, share information, and be able to provide a better service to our end customers after all we are all earning our living partly by use of their products.
As you might have noticed, some of the responses come from Genesys tech support personnel. I personally thought it was wonderful! I think trying to hide this board from Genesys would be counterproductive to the purpose of this forum.
Needless to say, sending someone's messages from this forum directly to Genesys is not acceptable, nor professional. I do not think that someone is doing that. And if they are, please stop.
If someone is concerned about their privacy just use an alias, and no one will ever know. That simple. As you have noticed, you do not need to register, nor enter your email address in any form or shape. After all, we all have our own concerns and questions that we would like to ask, but can't, because of NDA, intercompany relation, or security reasons.
I cannot emphasize enpough that this forum is your reference tool to be used to IMPROVE your Genesys
elated projects. There are now almost 2000 posts here each containing a valuable insight into Genesys innerworkings, implementation as well as competition. We make our living using this and other company's products. And if something is broken, then it should be fixed. If something is not really worth implementing at a customer's site, then it shouldn't. If other company's products offer a better solution to our client's particular problem then use that product or figure a way to improve on the current solution to beat the competition. Like I said before, the forum is to help us in our daily problems related to running, developing, installing and troubleshooting Genesys products. Heck, some of the information I've learned here saved me countless hours worth of figuring out what went wrong (e.g. WFM bug), evaluating skillased routing (e.g. IR) and customizing AWE (Internet Suite).
So, what I propose is let's increase our exchange here. I think it would be interesting to see what kind of documentaion we could assemble here to be used by all of us. Any volunteers?
