Brio 6.x and Oracle 10g/11g...

Just considering moving from 9i to either Oracle 10g or 11g and wondered if anyone had got this far with Brio/BES 6.x (not Hyperion) and run across any "compatability" errors.

I seem to remember, when upgrading to 9i, that we got some "ORA" errors messages in Brio Designer, where 9i had (by design) truncated Tables and Views that didn't happen in previous versions of Oracle.

Thanks for any input/pointers!

Tony

  • Thanks - I am trying to avoid running something like 35 template reports 3 or 4 times over in our DEV environment, just to prove that 10g will not cause any issues for Brio 6.x...  ::)

  • Hi,

Long time ago I received this answer from support regarding Brio and Oracle 9:

"Brio 6.6 does not support Oracle 9.2. However, it is possible to use this database through the Oracle 8.1.7 client."

But since Brio 6.6 isnt supported any longer, I guess that you can try to use it on your own risk.

    Good luck!
