Dear Genesys Forum Users,

from time to time, we run into a product that is developed by a fellow Genesys Forum users and we think that it would be in best interests if more people know about it. So it is with great pleasure that we present to you "CenterMessenger" product developed by Bruce Schrage and is showcased at www.centermessenger.com

Over the past several years Bruce has developed a presence and instant messaging application designed for the contact center.  The messaging layer distributes real-time agent and queue level statistics to the desktop and has chat and broadcast messaging capabilities.  He has developed a dockable wallboard (ticker like) windows client.  You can also create your own client or incorporate into another application – such as a soft phone.  There is also a browser based application that is in final stages of testing and will be available soon.  He can provide the message set and information needed to connect to the message server.  Other message sets can be defined and used to distribute information that may be specific to your business needs (break notifications from workforce management or current shipping date of new orders).

Center Messenger is scalable and can distribute information to thousands of users.   Message servers can also be added.  He has done some successful prototyping of using Microsoft’s Office Communications System (OCS) as the messaging layer. With OCS, for example, you can have internal contact center users communicate with external OCS users through a combination of clients (windows app, browser app, or office communicator).  Other messaging layers can be developed to as needed.

If you would like more information – please contact Bruce at bruce.schrage@centermessenger.com.  There is a canned demo and presentation on the web site.
