Has anyone built a communications driver for Siebel 7/7.5 to interface with Genesys 6.5? We only have Genesys Framework and was told it shouldn't be a big issue to do it with out the GPlus Adapter since we are a voice only shop. Well it is a big deal for me, Any help on where I can start at would be great, or if anyone has done one and would like to share that would also be great.

  • MMMM... what exactly you want to do?

If you have already the G+Adapter for siebel 7, you only need to install it on the Siebel communications server, and make the proper configuration on Siebel...it's really easy.

I recommend you the Integrating GenesysSiebel Applications training.

    Regards.

  • Update: We ended up getting the GPlus Adapter. We are moving from Siebel 99.6 directly to 7.5 and knew there were major changes in architecture but didn't realize the extent of the Siebel CTI changes. With G5 and Seibel 99 we had the interface done in a few days so was expecting about the same this time around. Even though you can still build it from scratch we realized that we didn't have the internal knowledge to do it and the cost of outsourcing was almost as high as the G+. Since we are planning more integration on the web side of things in the near future it was decided that the G+ was the way to go.
