Hello

Does any one specific recomendations about how to distribute Genesys 6.5 Framework app between hosts?

Please comment of following distribution:

BOX1

TServer
Stat Server (used by URS)
Universal Routing Server


BOX 2

Configuration Server
Configuration DBServer

Solution Control Server
Message Server

Log DBServer
Routing DBServer

DBMS (the database itself).

BOX 3.

use for historical reporting

CCA_StatServer
CCA_DBServer
DataSource
ETLRuntime

DBMS
ODS Database
Reporting Database


BOX 4

Work Force Management

  • From the look of things, you have a very good layout.
    I DO recall reading somewhere that Genesys urged people not to place datamart and ods DBs on the same machine, but it was not a requirement.

    One thing I noticed was that you do not have any type of redundancy!
    Also, what are you going to do about the license manager?
    If your license manager crashes, everything that uses licenses except for TServer will go down.

    Also, you mention WFM; however, are you planning on using DA? If so, which Stat Server will it use? Which DB?

    You sure have quite a layout how big is your call center that you are planning to install it at?

  • I agree I think the setup looks pretty good. If you are planning on having CC Pulse clients connecting as well you may want another instance of Stat server running. As far as CCA goes you may want to place the the datamart on a seperate box. We have had some problems in the past with the box the datamart resides on crashing but becuase we had the ods on a seperate box we lost no data.
