Title: Storing away
Post by: Josee on January 01, 1970, 12:00:00 AM
Did someone try to store away Genesys database after a couple of month of use ?
Or did you have some performance problems with Dart or custom reports ?

Thanks

We are running daily backup batches at midnight. Depending on how big your database is, sometimes it takes a rather long time. In our case, we have on average of 5000 calls per day, so it does not put a high load on our system. Few months back, when we just started archiving everything more than three months old, it took us almost 24 hours to run the first batch. So, if you are about to commence something like that, you will need to take into a consideration such factors as how big is your database, how reliable is your network, and how much load can you place on the system as a whole without affecting your call centre operations.

On top of that, archiving based on a datestamp only might create discrepancies in your call concentrator database, thus it is imperative that you determine how far back your customer requires the data to be valid.

Are you just storing call concentrator data or is there something else as well?
