Hi,
anyone who is using CPD server right now does TServer need to receive events from DNs that are controlled by CPD Server?
Can someone please explain to me the call flow when using CPD Server? When does TServer receive events?
Thanks,
Vic

We will be using it soon I hope, so I'm keen to hear how you get on. We plan to use it in a 6.5 environment with an Avaya G3r PABX.

Why? Would it not be cheaper to get a Call Classifier card? If you are using Avaya, I fail to see the reason for CPD, unless you have only 12 seats or so, your carrier offers a really strange connection or your PBX's CPU is maxed out.
Why did you decide to go with CPD?

A couple of reasons really. The vendor that we are looking at in assisting us with the implementation suggested CPD servers. And the other one being that from what we have been able to gleen is that the Call Classifier card has limited tuneability and a bad rep when it comes to answer machine detection. If this is not the case then I would certainly be interested in any experiances that people have had.
My preference would be to use the Call Classifier as it makes the entire installation far simplier and easier to support.

TServer does need to recieve the CPD port events. You should see all these events in both your TServer and Outbound logs. As a result they need to be in your CME.
However there are diffences in the setup depending on the version your using.
In 6.0 you add the ports as nornal in the DN folder of the appropriate PBX.
In 6.5 they are added as a subfolder to your DN folder and are added as CallProcessingPorts

We are using the g3 as well as a dialogic based predictive dialer for outbound and found that production fell of when we used call classifiers so now we are migrating to cpd server.
