Title: German Umlaut Incorrectly Displaying
Post by: tomparker12 on December 11, 2017, 05:24:28 PM
Hi there,

I'm trying to get Umlauts to display correctly in an environment. Configuration Server 8.5 is installed and is configured as UTF-8 and allowed for mixed encoding.

When i put the umlaut into the Genesys Person Profile, everything looks fine and renders/ displays fine, but shortly after it reverts to a diamon or a funky character!

Anyone been able to implement this without any issues/ or any advise on how to progress?

Thanks,

Issue appears to be with CME, applying Umlauts via GA/ GAX successfully displays UTF-8

I have same. Do not think that CME will support UTF-8.

did you try Configuration-Server options local and langid ?
With locale=de_DE.utf8 and langid=1033 it work for me.
But I know that this is dependent also from language settings in the OS and/or database
Good luck
Gregor

You have to start and install the Configuration Server as multilanguage - read and follow the documentation
