Title: Social Medial --Encrypting gsa-user-name
Post by: gen_den on March 05, 2018, 04:01:12 PM
Hi Team,

Is it possible to encrypt or hide the gsa-user-name and gsa-user-password in Social Messaging Server options?

Thanks

No, that would be great. You can open a FR to Genesys, however, access to CME/GA/GAX should be restricted so only authorized users could access that info. AD integration could also provide another security layer

FYI  :)

I opened a Ticket with Genesys and here is the update for this question:

It is not possible to mask or hide the gsa_username and gsa_password in the Social Messaging server options today. A couple of customers have previously raised Feature Requests to hide the gsa_password. These Feature Requests are currently open, and the plan is to address them at a later point in time - this could be later in 2018, but is not planned for the next few months. This would be done in Digital Messaging Server, which is the version 9 replacement for Social Messaging Server.

Note that these existing Feature Requests are specifically for hiding the gsa_password, not the gsa_username.
