Title: Genesys Stat Server HA
Post by: tomparker12 on March 05, 2019, 01:19:35 PM
Hi All,

I've got a stat server pair (warm standby), in my Stat Server options, i've got the 'allow-backup-connections' set to True as well as validated that Stat Server can write correctly to the SSBackup file.

The scenario is that 01 is running as Primary, 02 as Backup. If i fail 01 over to 02, the stats all stay happy and look good, however when i fail back from 02 to 01, the stats don't actually incremenent, they go back to the original stats prior to 01 being stopped.

Does anybody have any ideas about this/ how to get the pair to re-sync correctly once one of the apps come back up correctly?

Thanks,

Great! So failover from 01 to 02 works and all stats stay the same, however when i failover back from 02 to 01 the stats are reset back to what 01 was prior to the failover (if that makes sense).

StatServer work only in WarmStandby mode - I would suggest to configure your StatServer HA pair with enabled option "accept-clients-in-backup-mode"

Starting with release 8.5.109, Stat Server supports Hot Standby redundancy for Stat Servers operating in high availability (HA) mode on Windows and Linux platforms.

This was resolved by upgrading to the latest version of stat server IP_StatServer64_8511020b1 & amending the role from warm standby to Hot Standby  :)
