Post by: genesyslearner on May 07, 2019, 12:22:56 PM
Hi Experts,

I am bit confused on the usage of logical resource group of service type "gateway" and i seek clarity on the same.
In a multi tenant environment , is it mandatory to have resource group of type gateway in GVP environment?

thanks

It depends on the feature you are using on GVP/MediaServer. Gateway is used for outbound calls made by MCP or for CTI integration. If you are not using either feature, you do not have to create this LRG

Thanks for the info Kubig.

Since it is mandatory for outbound calls so it should be mandatory for web callbacks as well.
Please do correct me if i am wrong.

It depends who is responsible for dialing the calls. I do not suppose it is MCP in your environment, so thus the gateway LRG is not required at all.
