Title: Genesys User Manual
Post by: Vic on January 01, 1970, 12:00:00 AM
Hi,

does anyone have something that would explain how Genesys works and settings that is NOT written by Genesys? I am always struggling here trying to explain to our new people how to use Genesys and was wondering if there are some manuals out there that are maybe of better use than that that are provided by Genesys. I am quite aware of course manuals provided by Genesys, but maybe someone has something better than that...
Anyone?

Unfortunately Vic, as with most IT manuals these days, the idiot guides are written pretty much on a local level. That also means a lot of the stuff written will have corporate or business connotations and I'm afraid that also means it's restricted access. Is there anything in particular you are referring to, or is it a general enquiry for "Genesys" manuals?

Tony.

Sorry more of an afterthought. Has anyone considered writing the idiots guide/User Manual or are "we" (CGE's) restricted from doing such? Anyone know the legality status of such?

I think we better ask Genesys. I am sure that Genesys for DUMMIES would be definitely something that most of us would welcome very much. Anyone from Genesys who is reading this forum (and I know you do, because it says so in the access logs) knows who would be the right person to ask?

I've posed the question. I'll let you know if I learn anything.

To everyone who is making the manual:

Genesys for Dummies 101 would be a godsend. As with all the other software out there, I would expect to have several various versions of the book, including one by Genesys Press and other by a Genesys professional not associated with Genesys.

I did write (for myself) a Genesys 101 book, based on v5.1 a few years back. Maybe I should revisit it and do modern version?

If you could point out what bits you are interested in please let me know.

BTW I don't work for Genesys

if it would be possible, would you mind sharing it with the rest of us?

Vic,

Nothing ventured, nothing gained (and nothing heard, thus far). How about finding a suitable web space and starting from the top down?

Tony.

Sorry,
I've just seen your topic about Tony's handbook.
Thank you.  :)
