Hello experts,
I have few queries related to SIP trunking.
- I have seen mostly in Genesys setup that we have different trunk configured for Inbound and different for Outbound. Can anyone please let me know if its possible to have only 1 trunk for both Inbound and Outbound?
- Regarding the SIP trunking over TLS. If I enable the TLS on SIP trunk then I will always get call over TLS? and I won't be able receive the call over UDP/TLS until i have different trunk for same right?
Thanks

Outgoing trunks objects selection order are chosen by the prefix parameters.
So if you dial for example 5177777 and you have a Trunk with prefix with 51, that Trunk will be chosen.
If you dial 5277777 and you don't have any trunk with this prefix, will choose any trunk without prefix parameter, if you don't have any trunk with that config (or without) then your call fails.
Usually you have several trunks when you have different SIP providers, if you only have one...that would make no sense.
As for Inbound, trunk selected is based on IP address, if you have several trunks using same IP address then will chosen in a random fashion
