Hi all, how should I proceed to route calls from a strategy to an Asterisk managed site located outside the company? I have the dest IP:PORT pair of the landing Asterisk and the tunneling to it is up&running, configured a SIP trunk too, pointing to that destination, but how I should route calls directly there? SIPServer 8.1.1, URS 8.1.4
I mean, in a regular scenario I would use a TRoute pointing to a specific number outside the org, but I'm thinking if having a remote geographic number is mandatory, or if it can be done directly to the IP.
Best,
Gef

Create a trunk, assign a prefix, define the IP port destination
In your strategy call that prefix and the destination number.
Of course as any other pbx integration you need to plan the numbering plan and probably use replace-prefix in the trunk too.

Thanks Cav. So the method doesn't changes... a destination number is mandatory. I thought there might be a direct ip to ip method.

I don't understand what you mean by IP method... I mean how the sip server would know which numbers to send to which PBX?

It was just an idea... like a specific routing function based on IP only or who knows, some kind of DN like an RP configured to route calls without using an explicit geo number. Assuming the devices are connected through an IP tunnel.

Still no idea what you mean hehe
But no. No way PBX would work like this without a numbering plan.
