Like a subject says: what is Gensys Voice Portal?
Is anyone using it? How is it compared to some other products out there? Why would I want to use it?
My first impression regarding this GVP is that Genesys just bought some company out and tried to incorporate their product into their line without giving a second thought to its GUI and overall architecture.
Who is using this project and what benefits are ripped through its use?

In a nutshell GVP is the Genesys IVR. I have looked at it and do know at least one company that is using it. From what I have seen it compares favorably with other IVR/voice portal application out there. Its obvious advantage would be integration into a current Genesys infrastructure. If you are planning on moving into speech rec or replacing an older IVR I would defiantly look at GVP along with other speech rec venders.

Genesys has bought Telera recently and is trying to integrate into Genesys. But integration is the same as with other IVR via IServer, configuration is partly on SCE (ports) and most of the GVP is configured and controled via web. GVP run only on Windows 2000.
We are using GVP platform with not so good experiences (we still have Avaya Conversants) May be in future will be more integration with Genesys.
