Title: Management Layer question
Post by: Tony on January 01, 1970, 12:00:00 AM
Hello,

I have a question to pose to all the great Genesys minds out there. Here's the situation, 30 TServers, 2 Load Distribution Servers, and 2 URS's. We have a central location that houses Config layer, Routing Layer with LDS's. With the amount of WAN traffic that is produced by the management layer, what would be the best approach for installing the management layer for 30 tservers and the central applications for Routing? Just looking for some advice because there is a hesitancy for performance issues with the management layer?

Regards,
Tony

Tony,

We have all of our Management Layer components at our Enterprise Site (i.e. in a central location). We only run the LCA component on each of the remote TServer boxes. We only have about 6 TServers though, but that seems to work best for us. Also, our logging levels are just set to Debug as opposed to All, so that helps to reduce traffic.
