Title: Avaya script for VDN
Post by: Vic on January 01, 1970, 12:00:00 AM
Hi, all,

I was wondering if you could help me with vector programming for Avaya G3.

I need to confirm if there is a need to add "ringback 04" as first step in a vector before calling an adjunct.

For example:

01 wait ime 4 secs hearing ringback
02 adjunct routing link 1
03 adjunct routing link 3
04 wait ime 20 secs hearing musci
05 announcement (some DN here)

What is the reason for having line 01? I know that Avaya tells people to add "wait 0" on the first line in the script, but what is the necessity for introducing 4 second delay in a routing point?!!!

Also, on a related topic, can someone please tell me if there is a need for ringback for announcement only VDN as well.

Hi Vic,
Step 01 is definitely required but 4 seconds is excessive.
I have found 2 is fine.
0 or 1 second doesnt give the switch enough time to carry out the second step properly.
You will find that you wont get eventrouterequest .

Vic you wouldnt need the ringback if you are only doing an announcement but i would need to look at your vector.
