Hi, I was wondering if there is a real need to create data every 15 mintues as opposed to one hour...
Also, why would someone want to keep old stats for 3 days if call center i from 9 to 5?
Any reasons ? Any stats in Genesys rely on more than one day worth of stats?

We have a 120MB file dumped by rptstatserver and it is really worrying me because I think it is killing it.

I was wondering if we could make the load less by removing it or having it backup every hour or so... also keeping stats for less than 3 days probably would free a lot of info as well, right?

 Any ideas. suggestions?

To follow up, keeping data for three days did not make sense, so we changed the RemoveOldStatsData option to 60 minutes * 24 hours * 1.5 days, just to be on a safe side...

Interestingly enough, it did not reduce the size of memory that StatServer is using nor did it reduce its ssbackup.000 file size...

 What the heck?!!!

I also figured that there was no need to dump file every 15 minutes, since it was only used by CCA, thus, in a worst case scenario, we lose 15 minute block.

I changed it to an hour, and guess what, the filesize is still the same...

(Yes, I did delete the file before starting statserver again...)

 Weird, wierd stuff...

				Vic,

I think it depends more from how many statistics are registered and for how many objects.
