Title: Populating COMMENT_ field in person object
Post by: Scottyjohn on October 09, 2006, 02:47:12 PM
Hi all,
I am looking to find a way to populate the COMMENT_ field in the CFG_PERSON table with a string.  I cant access it directly as our solution is a managed service and therefore we only have CME and read only access to the CFG DB.
Problem is I cant see how to populate these extra fields in CME.  Can this be achieved by adding something to the annex tab?

The only way to add data to these fields is via the DB. The field "comment_" along with some other's are not used within any Genesys GUI's (That I'm aware off). They are just there for future ref.

And as such, is probably a bad idea to mess with it since it's not gauranteed to be there in a future edition of Genesys.

I think you'll be ok to use it as it's part of the config schema. I doubt they would remove it but you can throw in a service request to Genesys just to make sure.
