hi,
I want to know what are the various instances during which the T-server throws Error 600 and Error 629.Both these errors are being thrown to the softphone during transfer.

You should see what happens on your hardphone to understand the errors. On Genesys Support portal download the 5.1 activeX guide.

Can the TServer throw error 629 to the softphone when softphone dials out to an extension and that extension is busy?

No, that is an TExtension event. What does your TServer logs says?
Common Errors:
Error 1141: Impossible to login
Error 272: Agent logged in elsewhere
Error 1151: Place Out of Service
Error 1161: Similar to 1151
Error 1158: Authentication Error

Can you post the log? It would be much easier to tell what is happening :)
