Title: Genesys on VMwareq
Post by: Kim Holden on August 02, 2007, 03:05:24 AM
Hello,

I need a guiding hand in setting Genesys to run on VMware. I had an idea to build a training environment for new staff on top of VMware. Main advantage of using VMware is that there will be a clean image of windows environment and there will also be images for routing, outbound and reporting versions of Genesys.

My problem arises from having VMware freeze each time I install framework and I am forced to reboot. Can someone guide me on installing framework on VMware without a need to reboot?

(Uhm... Not sure what to write here, but thanx! )

Hi Kim,

I'm running Genesys 7.2 on VMWare or VirtualPC and it works well. What do you mean by "freeze"? The installation itself shouldn't have any impact to your virtual machines.

Starting Genesys release 7.5 some versions of VMWare are supported officially by Genesys. See the "Genesys 7 Supported Operating Systems and Database Reference Manual" for detailed information.
