hi!
I'm a telephony consultant for a large multi-nation services company and I've been struggling to successfully implement DTMF at one of the sites in Japan. Layout is very complicated. In a nutshell, there is Windows cluster server with Sip Tservers in high availability, several Urs and several third-party servers (ten units of Star Systems VoIP Recorder, Quest Server and Siebel ).
Tserver's version is 7.5.000.29 , stream manager is 7.5.005.01 and Urs is 7.5.002.02.
The problem that I still cannot resolve is related to how stream manager passes DTMF data to primary tserver once Tservers switch roles; it doesn't. I heard that there are two different ways of installing a sip redundant environment. One of them involves stream manager to issue INFO messages with DTMF digits in it. This is what we have now and it does not work. I've heard that there is a second way involving using Genesys' dedicated protocol, but I can't find anything on it in deployment paper.
Can someone please explain to me what this "dedicated protocol" is and where I can read more about it?
(Vic: if you're reading this and know anything about it then pm me)
