Title: Call Conn Failures (PLEASE READ)
Post by: Sanjesh on January 01, 1970, 12:00:00 AM
Hi!!

Our Call Concentrators have been buffering too much of data. As a result
they have been CCon crashes with huge core dumps.

Any way to avoid this, please?

Also can buffering be minimized by writing the data more frequently into the DB. How?

Thanks,

Sanjesh

Do you mean the log file?

No Joseph, the Call itself fails to work. It has to be restarted.

Are you sure that this is what is causing CCon to crash?
What is CCon version?

What type of database are you using? What are the machine specs for CCon and database? And how many calls do you have coming there per day? Are you using EVREFEX? If so, how big is your attach data?

I am very very sceptical about the cause being "too much data"; however, if this is the case, try DbDumpCommitFrequency and DbDumpMaxInsertsInProgress. Depending on the database type you can also play with SendBeginTransaction as well.

Have you reported it to Genesys yet?

I know this email is full of [?], sorry! :)
