I am trying to upgrade a test server currently running Framework 6.5 & WFM 6.5 to WFM 7.5 and leave Framework 6.5.
I have the manual, have loaded all of the prerequisites and am following the steps in the Manual. I have reached the point where I am supposed to "Import" the new solution via CME.
I am using the WFM CD 7.5.002.01 CD that I downloaded.
The actual error I get when I attempt to save the "WFM_Solution_750.sd" is as follows:
Error message: SCEE013 - Incomplete data, or the specified information is not within the allowable range
Last Action: Add
Object Type: Application Service Permission
Object Property: Application Type
-----------------------------------------
I also attempted to save the "WFM_Solution_6.sd" and got the following error:
Error message: SECE011 - Duplicate information specified. The specified information is duplicated within the current scope.
Last Action: Add
Object Type: Application Service Permission
Object Property: Application Type
What the heck am I doing wrong?

Fred,
SCEE013 means something like the object you are importing is not compatible with your configuration db; the 7.5 WFM deployment guide states this WFM version is compatible with 6.5 configuration enviroment, but there are always some limitations, especially when wizards are used.
SCEE011 means instead that the object you are importing already exists in your configuration.

Fred,
There were some changes related to solution object implemented in release 7.x so maybe the format of exported solution isn't compatible with 6.5 release. Try to create the solution by yourself as the workaround.

Thanks Fra & René,
I figured it was somthing like that. I know I must sound really stupid but how do I add a new solution? The only thing I see in CME is create a new folder.

Never mind, just thought how to do it. Sorry sometimes I don't stop to think around the problem.

Fred.
Not sure of this is the method you used but you can try using the 6.5 templates. If its not the method you used, any chance you can let me know what did work??

Tefleon, I did try the WFM_Solution_651.sd template that imported with no problems which is what I thougt since I am running 651 framework. Today I am attempting to add Components and Component definitions so that it will work for me. I will post my results as I finish.
