Title: Configuration Management
Post by: edobellamy on January 08, 2008, 01:49:18 PM
Hiya

I’m dealing with quite a few environments and is a pain to document all the deltas and differences between them. I’m wondering if there would be a sql tool to do this,
I’m thinking of a tool that Creates Listings of Applications, Ports, Connections, Users, etc and that you that could detect differences between a list of entities in different environments.
That could make the migration process run more smoothly. Has anybody heard or develop of such a tool ?

Cheers,

You could use the Configuration SDK to export settings in both environments to a flat file and compare the two...

If it's bespoke SQL you are looking for, I may need to move this Thread to the Developers Forum...
