Hello,
I recently updated my configuration layer and management layer to 7.5. Both were 7.2 prior to the upgrade. I did the config layer first(12/5/2007), followed by the management layer12/7/2007). I noticed that after the management layer was updated, that in SCI...if I click on centralized log....I don't see any logging after 12/7/2007. This was when the mgmt layer was updated. I made sure that all the new mgmt layer applications(ie. message server, scs, log db) have been added on the connection tabs for all the applications that had the 7.2. mgmt layer apps. So basically for all the apps that had..for example the message sever application on their connection tab, I made sure to add the new 7.5 message server application in its place. I actually restarted the cfg db server and config server to see if that would make any difference. It has not. We are running our genesys applications on windows 2000 and 2003, not UNIX.
Has anyone experience this before? Any suggestions will be helpful.

make sure, all options are set correct and restart msgserver and logdbserver
check in logfiles if there are any errors reaching the database. maybe something went wrong when you did the upgrades.
-
yeah...I did the restart of actually every app in the mgmt layer, but still no change. From looking at the logs, don't see any issues with the msgserver getting getting to the database via the dap. Also the db server logs looks ok.

Is db_storage= true for MessageServer? DAP connected?
Is the DAP also connected to SCI? (Maybe logs are written but not displaeyd...)
-
Stupid question in addition: what are Message Server log options "network" and "verbose" set to?
-
the db_storage was set to false. Changed it to true. do I need to restart the app? don't see the updates in SCI. I'm thinking yes
-
yes, you have to restart your application.

FRA. many, many , many thanks to you all and everyone that responded to the post. After changing the option to true and restarting the msg server, all is well. I can see the logs in sci.
