Title: configuration manager installation problem
Post by: dink on January 10, 2008, 11:49:27 AM
we had a pc that had Configuration Manager 7.5 installed on it. I removed the CME via the control panel and tried to install version 7.2. The installation seems to work properly but I am not able to start it. I don't receive a logon screen but the standard message '....has encountered a problem .......'

any idea ?

Hi Dink,

Please check if Genesys Common Wizard Component Set are installed on the host. If the answer is yes then try to uninstall that package. CME uses it and theoretically it could cause your issue.

BTW Have you made restart before installing CME 7.2 after you removed 7.5?
