Title: Change in PSTN DialPlan
Post by: lcastillo on February 12, 2008, 04:39:08 AM
Hi,

In one month the Telephony Service Provider in my country will change the lenght of telephone numbers for 7 to 8 digits, and I will to test the impact that this would have in my Genesys Installation.

What I must verify in my Installation for the possible impact in Genesys with this change?

Thanks

Actually nothing, check your PBX side only. If you have only some strategy that is based on ANI/DNIS then only change to do.

You also just need to ensure that the number of DNIS digist being provided doesn't change. Providers will provide different DNIS lengths, it's generally dependent on the number range you've bought with your circuits i.e 1xxx, or 1xx or 1x.

We have 4 digit DNIS for our main site but some of our others across Europe are only 3.
