Title: StayinFront integration with PABX
Post by: sshirazh on February 20, 2008, 12:19:16 AM
A client is interested in integrating to the StayInFront CRM package with a PABX. At this stage, there is no defined PABX although StayInFront integrates with a very few.

Is there any organisation which have done this before (preferably in Aust) and have any information with regards to integration as such.

Any information will be appreciated.

Hi,

I guess you're new to this forum, so welcome.

From what you have said it sounds like you have a customer with a greenfield site and not much has been defined. The question that really sticks out is if you have Genesys (this is a Genesys forum  ;D )? I guess not as the PBX has not been defined.

On a general level I'd therefore recommend you propose an Asterisk based soft-PBX and couple it with Genesys' SIP Server as this would give you a level of redundancy but at a reasonable price. The next step is to examine the StayInFront integration with Genesys. Genesys have a SDK for building the Genesys agent front-end into CRM\stand-alone apps. If you can find out from StayInFront how customizable their product is, and I'd hope it is, you could then get a custom module developed.

I guess you were looking for someone to say "I've done it and it was easy and here are some pointers", but I hope this has given you some pointers though.

Drop me a line if you some more help on this.
