Does anybody know if it is possible to merge two independant Genesys environments into one? I know you can export the configuration with the Configuration Import Wizard, but I don't know how to import and which consequences this might have (AppID etc.)?
Is it possible by just importing it some way in my second environment, installing the applications (if necessary) or is it, which I expect, a little more complicated?
Has anyone tried this before?

We are facing a similar situation. We had some Genesys PS folks write a tool that would take a dump of each DB and create a new third "merged" DB.
We rejected this idea because it screws up the DBIDs in both environments.
New DBIDs create the following issues:
-- CCAnalyzer uses DBIDs in its structure -- so either all the reports would need to be rebuilt (create new tables) or somehow convert the DBID from the old CME to the new one
-- Strategies -- someone had mentioned that the rbn file references the DBID as well so strategies would need to be imported/exported manually.
In the end we decided on a "hybrid" approach. Some things from the smaller CME will be built manually into the larger CME, and other items will be imported via some tools that have been created for us.
The config import wizards provide some degree of automation.
