Hi All-
We have SAP CRM 5.0 and currently we are using gplus ICI adapter 7.5 in our Lab environment.
The problem we are facing is it seems ICI adapter 7.5 is not compatible with CRM 5.0 version it supports CRM 5.1(as per the document).
While making connection to genesys from SAP end(transaction SPHB)...creating telephony server...we get a error saying "Not compatible".
SAP guys dont have any plans to upgrade CRM to 5.1 as of now, is there any other way we can think of....
Didnt get any help from SAP support and genesys support :(
Can someone please provide me your inputs.

Vinod,
Based on "Genesys 7 Supported Operating Systems and Databases Reference Manual" SAP CRM 5.0 is supported by Gplus Adapter for SAP ICI Multi-channel release 7.1.0 and higher. It requires SAP Service Pack 04 or higher to be installed. You can download mentioned document from Genesys Technical Support website
Genesys Technical Support should be able to help you as you have supported version of SAP CRM.
Have you tried older release (7.1) of Gplus adapter?

Hi Experts-
As per the deployment guide we need to make a Http connection from SAP.
So in SAP RFC details we will mention 'GPLUS server and Port', thus SAP is aware which is the target but how does gplus will know where to target for SAP cos no where i see in config options the need to mention sap server details.
Will the http connection is sufficient ? Please provide me ur views

Hi Vinod,
Yes, it's sufficient to specify Gplus adapter server and port of SAP side only. The communication is "unidirectional" - SAP IC calls Gplus adapter (HTTP request), Gplus processes the request and returns the output (HTTP response).

Hi All!
Gplus Adapter also sends http requests to SAP :)

Hi Sergey,
I assume you're talking about situation when SAP subscribes for agent/DN events (via SOAP Notification). In that case you're right and Gplus sends requests to SAP.
Is that what you've meant?

Yes Rene, you are right. I meant "...Changed" events that Adapter send to SAP.
Best Regards,
Sergey.
