Title: Multimedia 7.5 basic question

Hi all,

I have configured a standalone MM7.5 solution (just with email).

I am experienced with ICS 6.5, but this is the first time i've embarked on a MM7 deploy.

During the installation, I selected 'New style interaction Server', so I understand this deviates away from the Virtual Route Point, and EmailDN way of ICS.

I have an email address configured in EMail Server, and it retrieves sucessfully, inserts into UCS database, and also submited to InteractionServer (and consequently IXNdb).

I have Interaction Workflow examples configured, but the problem is that nothing happens after the interaction gets submitted to Interaction Server?!

I see:

then some database requests sent to IXnDB.. but nothing after that.. My Business Process isn't kicked off..

URS isn't aware of anything..

(I assume there's no genesys documentation that describes how this works?) deployment, ref guide no help

Any ideas what i'm missing?

Hi,

I can think of two main reasons now that could lead to described situation:

- Missing connection between Universal Routing Server and Interaction Server
- No strategy assigned to Interaction Queue ("Inbound queue" in your case)

You can find detailed information about business processes, interaction queue, workbins etc. in "Universal Routing 7.5 Business Process User's Guide".

Hi Rene,

I had connection b/t URS and IntServer, but problem was loading of Business process against URS.

Thanks very much for that doc, saw problem was that the BP was not 'activated'. Activated it, and it now appears loaded under two new VRPs it automatically created.
