Any advice for configuration of the OXE 7.1 with GVP.
??? "In front" with SIP?
??? "Behind" with SIP stations?
??? Use SIP Server as proxy?
Any quirks etc? Anyone using this in production to do speech applications?
Thanks for all advice!

I do ;D
OXE will interconnect to GVP easily with just configuring the SIP Trunk on OXE and creating external Voice Mails applications pointing to GVP. On GVP you will configure this numbers on your applications DNIS options.
GVP will work as IVR Behind the switch.
I'm now trying to remember how to communicate GVP with URS but that is another story and Fra helped on my other post.

Basically I will not have Genesys Router to OXE (no agent licenses) - OXE will route calls to GVP appl - which will do some things and then transfer some calls back to call centre.
Key things I need:
x Transfers do not tie up GVP Ports (not bridging)
Can this be done without OXE TServer and GVP "behind" the PBX? Using SIP Server or something?
Also - to connect SIP - do you need any Proxy/hardware or Software from Alcatel?
thanks,

OXE Tserver is only if you want to integrate GVP with URS...otherwise no need of it.
I have it working without it.
So:
On OXE i have:
SIP Trunk group which is a license and only works since release 6.1 of OXE, hardware maybe compressors on a GPA/GD/INITIP-MADA3 board, you must run Actis configuration from presales guy to know this.
GVP must be behind the OXE as it will interconnect using SIP of OXE, no other way with SIP.
I must guess your OXE interconnects to another PBX? Where are the call centre agents?

Thanks cavagnaro!
Call centre agents are on the OXE - so GVP needs to be able to transfer back to a RP on the OXE (not sure what specifically called on Alcatel)
Will the transfer work without TServer - what will OXE do to tromboned SIP calls?

:o Never did that test, but just tried and:
From a softphone called a RSI (RP on Genesys) and call arrived to agents, however no treatments could be applied, that is the bad news, so for make it work I would route the call to a RP of the IVR switch and then transfer to agents and see how it goes.
Interesting...will try further once I achieve to make all work ok.
So without TServer...I believe yes but with a trick on RSI side...an overflow to ACD pilot maybe...
