I am looking for an avaya doc that describes there support of the genesys platform.
Does any one can across something like that?

I am not sure about an official doc from Avaya, but Genesys has a very nice document describing what sort of PBXs it supports, which includes Avaya, MAPD and AES version and so on. I just wish sometimes it was a bit more detailed, for example listing exactly which version of AES is supported from which version of Genesys, which functionality in Avaya is supported and which not. Right now, I am forced to pretty much test and find this on my own.

The document I use the most is "Supported Media Interfaces - Reference Manual" (70g_ref_smi.pdf) Unfortunately, this is the latest file I could find out there for me.

Best regards,
Vic

Vic, isn't this limits mentioned on TServer deployment/refence guide? Again with alcatel (it is the only appart from SIP Server I read often) I got many of what is and what is not supported.

Cavagnaro,

you know, you might be just right! I just never managed to find that. Perhaps, someone can point me in a right direction?

For the last few years, I only use the manuals only as a reference and to be frank, I might not be up to date on the latest Genesys web-related activities. Perhaps, I am just looking at the wrong version of Genesys Support site or something, because I simply get lost there...

For the last few years, I only use the manuals only as a reference and to be frank, looking at support.genesyslab.com sometimes I feel overwhelmed by number of documents and categories. Way too cluttered and I still cannot tell the difference between white-papers and advisories and release notes.

I do like how you can click and get a matrix of different genesys versions and number of articles available for product categories, but once I click on any of them, I am back to TOC from hell. I guess with the number of products available from Genesys this is probably as good as anyone could have made it...

Also, did you notice how it does not allow you to download more than one document at a time? I think this is done to avoid people from web-ripping them, but I still find it a bit cumbersome to be unable to browse through other topics while DL a very large manual. This is one thing that I really wish they would fix.

Best regards,
Vic

Thanks Vic for the little chance to be right
Well I don't know how it was before but for me the site is ok. If you could only take a look at Alcatel support site, that is a nightmare.
On Release notes I find what fixes the new releases, added functionalities, new OS/DB supported, etc.
Product advisory seems to be one of the forgotten places, very old products there. Seems was a Release Notes similar idea, which problems it has and where was detected and where was fixed.
Whitepapers are that, like Genesys-Asterisk super integration.

I only check:
Browse Documents > Release Notes and Product Manuals and Help Files. And well My Support too.

About the Download, I can download several files at once...weird you can't.

How is that you get to TOC? I never arrive there by force...
