Title: VXML to GVP studio format (.vws)

Hi,

Is there any tool that could convert VXML script to GVP studio file ie., .vws format.

I don't have the software installed anymore but I was under the impression you can import VXML into GVP Studio, using the File commands, then re-save it, to the .vws format...

...No...?

GVP studio program expects the file in .vws format and doesn't accept vxml codes.

GVP has some VXML own structure, also GVP Studio builds ASP and JSP files.
I can't find an option where to import on Studio...can't find anything also on documentation

I'm re-installing a version of Genesys Studio - just because I am curious!  I will let you know what I find...

Is there any reason why you are not apply in the VXML directly?  Or do you need to "edit" it in Genesys Studio...?

Hi Tony,

I am new to GVP and hence to the vxml coding.  We have the running code available in webserver and the source GVP studio file is missing. Would like to see the vxml code in GVP studio format for my better understanding and to change when there is a need.

It's bad news, I'm afraid; Genesys Studio will parse .vws to vxml (as you state) for loading purposes however, it does not appear to be a backwards-compatible process.

If you need to use Genesys Studio, I would use an open source product* to interrogate the vxml and then rebuild it in the Genesys application - but only if that is viable...?

Hi

There is no way to convert VXML to VWS. It will be quite hard to build one if not possible.
