I've heard rumors that Genesys 5.1 products do not perform well on the latest highend machines running Windows NT.
Based on the unconfirmed reports, BSOD (blue screen of death) might happen if one tries to run it in a highvolume production environment. Machines running call concentrator are among the top candidates to experience it.
How true are these rumors? Should we take release date into our consideration when choosing a suitable PC? Any comments and/or suggestions would be highly appreciated.

I have experience with a client with nearly 2000 Genesys seats running on a collection of NT Servers. I recommend setting up NT on all Genesys servers according to the OS configuration notes recommended within Oracle 8.x for NT documentation.
As far as call concentrator is concerned it has scalability issues on all platforms, however the most recent version is said to perform better. It needs a gig or two of RAM to handle high call volumes.
Lastly I separate real ime and reporting functions on different NT boxes to minimize the risk of mishandling calls due to CPU constraints.
