Hi All
I tried to dial the GVP port wit the assigned DNIS and it is not answering now but it was before. Where would I start off looking logs and what should I restart. Appreciate any of kind of help/direction.
-
Is this with IPCS or VCS?
If IPCS you can use a softphone like sjphone and use a dial like sip:dnis@gvp where dnis is the number configured on your application and gvp well the GVP IP address. This will tell you if GVP is ok or it is the SIP Proxy.
If using VCS check your dialogic board status and see if it is ok. This is only one application or all of them??
-
Thank you Rene. None of the DNIS's are answering by GVP ports. BTW how will I check "VCS check your dialogic board status" ? Thanks for your valuable suggestions.
-
??? René? Uh? Not that I dislike him or something but at least call me by my nickname :-\
-
Sorry. My mistake.

Run DCM, should be under Intel Dialogic System Software > Configuration Manager - DCM

I am so sorry. I am VXML developer but working on these issues since port is not answering.
I ran DCM. I am not sure what I should look in specific. It seems started fine. Forgive me my knowledge in Dialogic cards. I appreciate if you can give more direction. Thanks.

My problem is similar .... VCS is not answering the phone calls ...
-I verified in the EMPS interface the ports are inService
-the url of my WAS-WebApp thhorws an XML
-I validate the conexion between Pbx(Avaya) n GVP.
-Popgateways logs does not show relevant information
What else can i do in order to find the origin of the problem???

The first thing you have to check is if the call really hits the IVR.
Place a call and refresh the active session page on the IPCS/VCS interface at the same time.
If you see the call then you have to check the logs (pagecollector, ...)
Normaly when a call is not answered but arrived at the GVP than you will find an error in ther logs.
Depending on your deployment the root of your problem often lies infront of the GVP.
It's very helpfull to dial directly into the GVP as mentioned before.
When I install a IPCS then I leave the default configuration (In-Front) and place a call (local vxml app with vox file) with my softphone.
When the call was successfull than I add things like TTS, ASR, remote webserver for hosting of applications, ...
If the IVR environment is set up then you will start the integration with genesys framework (like behinde the sip-server etc.)

I do not see any active call by the gvp web interface.
By the way,i am using us_mf_io protocol cause with the e1_cas_io gvp does not detect the ports.....
Now, I am trying to test the dialogic card , but i thing the problem is the driver.
i tried with SU 125 and 174 but without positives results......
GVP7.5
DJCT 600 - PCI Xpress
AVAYA
Do u know the correct driver version ???

The simplest and most direct way to figure out what is going on is to monitor the GVP ports in CCPulse, and trace a call in the TServer logs to see what is happening. Anything else is just speculation and possibly a waste of time. GVP ports frequently get "stuck" on an off-hook state or in a CallRinging state, and you can see this if you monitor them in CCPulse. Put them all in a Place Group and monitor the Place Group in CCPulse. If you're not the person who knows how to do this, then ask your Genesys sys admin to do it. If the ports are all in an idle on-hook state in CCPulse, place a call and trace it in the TServer logs and you will more than likely find your answer.

Hehe he is installing and barely understands GVP I don't think integrating GVP with Framework is an option right now.

For one reason vcs cant open the dialogic ports. (i tested the board andit is ok).

Please check T1 frame and line code and match with switch.
Run pstndiag and make some outbound calls on channels to verify that T1 and dialogic are working properly.
Then run "castrace" if you r using CAS then start watch dog to see the activites on the T1.
