Title: Can't play announcement for dropped call in 2-step transfer (Outbound)
Post by: daveg on June 25, 2008, 07:58:54 AM
In our outbound system if we have to drop the call we want to play an announcement first. However as we're using 2-step transfer (otherwise the customer hears a ring) the strategy is still connected to the CPD on the consult leg, and the announcement is played to the CPD port. It works fine on a 1-step (apart from the ringing). How can I tell CPD in the strategy to hand over the call? Or is it possible to suppress the ringing that the customer hears on a 1-step transfer (Alcatel switch)?

? CPD with Alcatel? You are not using inner OXE options? Any way...load the music guide on OXE, lets say 801. REgister this guide on CME Voice Prompts, then in your strategy on the red point of the target put a play prompt object and select guide 801 and then after this a cancel call object. That will do the job.

This doesn't do the job. It works fine for a one-step transfer, but if we use 2-step the voice guide is played to the CPD port because the consult leg of the transfer is still active.
