Title: MAXIMUM Lines on a GVP-IP Standlone Box for SIP or ISDN PRI
Post by: cshah on August 06, 2008, 07:23:57 PM
All,

We have Genesys GVP (Standalone) in our environment and currently using ISDN PRI. We are considering the Genesys GVP (Stand along config with SIP Trunks from the Career).

Questions:
How many lines can run Gracefully in one WinTel  (Xeon Core 2 Duo, 2 CPU Server)? - SIP Config

How many lines can run Gracefully in one WinTel  (Xeon Core 2 Duo, 2 CPU Server)? - ISDN PRI CONFIG with Dialogic

Thanks,
Chirag

Don't know about SIP but we have GVP 6.5 with Dialogic 96 ports and Xeon 4 cpu, it holds fine.
I believe dialogic is doing bulk of work.

With a SIP configuration a single instance of IPCS can support upto 300 ports with DTMF and 200 ports with ASR\TTS.

Hi,

Detailed information about GVP capacity and sizing (Windows, Linux, TDM, SIP etc.) could be found in "Genesys 7 Hardware Sizing Guide".
