Title: SCS documentation?
Post by: cavagnaro on August 26, 2008, 10:21:31 PM
Hi guys,
I'm deploying a huge HA solution in which almost every single component will be have a backup. Splitting servers, installing mirrors, DB also included, etc etc. I'm analyzing the configuration options for every layer, i already solved the config server HA, however, I can't find a single SCS deployment document...only SCI...do you know where are they??
Thanks

Look at Chapter 9, Setting Up Redundant Components in Framework 7.6 Deployment Guide

Last year I set up a full HA solution and look for the same information...

Hi catarinex,
What I can't find is the SCS documentation, the PDF file... where or in what section or under what name is it?
Thanks

Hi,

There is no separate SCS document. All available documentation around SCS is in:
Framework 7.6 Deployment Guide
Framework 7.6 Configuration Options Reference Manual
Framework 7.6 Management Layer User's Guide

Hum..hi catarinex,
I have read the document and it only mentions Configuration Server redundancy, but not about Solution Control Server...any info? I want to confire a redundant SCS in warm or hot standby mode.
Thanks and sorry if I'm missing something.

In my copy of 7.6 Framework deplyment (76fr_dep.pdf) guide it says on p 183-188:

Redundant Solution Control Servers support only the warm standby redundancy
type, with the addition that the data is synchronized between the primary and
backup servers.

Do you look in the wrong document?
