Title: SIP T/S error
Post by: PJ on August 27, 2008, 08:13:11 AM
Experiencing intermittent errors with Genesys T/S. Rebooting T/S solves the problem, temporarily.
Here is the log excerpt:

gsip:TRSPMAN: ERROR - Unable to parse SIP message: error 2 (Start line parse failed: either it is not a SIP packet, or it is not a beginning of SIP packet)

Anybody has any ideas?

Version Info:
SIP Server, Version: 7.5.000.53 Compiled: Feb 21 2008 00:47:16
Stream Manager 7.5.004.02 Compiled: Mar  9 2007 16:43:50

Ok, ok...

without seeing more long, it would be hard to tell, but:

SM version is really old and it is very buggy. If you read through RN you will see that there are quite a few hot fixes that deal with this. your first step would be to upgrade to the latest 7.6 SM manager and see if the problem goes away.

Hi,

It seems to me like something is trying to communicate with SIP Server but not using SIP protocol. I would suggest you to check list of open connections (netstat if you're on Windows) when the issue re-appears.
