Title: Wizard manager deceiving
Post by: elek on September 03, 2008, 08:13:00 AM
Hi everybody,
i was wondering if it is possible to install a solution using Wizard manager not having installation CD, only having dedicated distributives of each component that comprises a solution (downloaded from support site)?
i always get stuck on the step when wizard prepares to create an installation package for the component and requests me to locate either solution CD or its image.
Does anybody ever manage to cheat it on this step and proceed? I don't really want to set up all framework manually.
Any help is much appreciated

Hi,

Did anyone make pass of this stage?

When we use the ETL wizard and at the final stage it asks us to configure the Installation Path. And in the source, we have to provide the location of the CD and destination to be copied.

However, i get the following error "Select Source does not contain Installation Package. Please locate the correct source to continue configuration"

I have selected the correct path of the source, but still it shows this error. Can anyone please tell me where am i wrong??

Appreciate your response.

Thanks in advance

I'm just taking a wild guess but I think your top-level installation directory name should match the CD installation disk name?
