Hi all,
We are deploying GVP 7.6 with Genesys Framework 7.6 Full SIP (GVP behind the Genesys Sip TServer)
Is it possible to change the log repertory for GVP ? (by default all GVP components logs are localized at GVP\CN\log", we wants to move them to the same directory than Genesys components log : exemple E:\logs\Genesys\GVP"
Is it also necessary to create a "GVP" application ? and if so how ? the "76gvp_dep.pdf" and "SIP Server 7.5.0 - GVP Integration.DOC" are not very clear about it
In this configuration, ther is nod needs to create any DNs on the Switch GVP ???
-
No, there is no need to create them, in behind the switch mode the DNs (VTPs) are created under the pbx switch as when you use a typical ivr. Then, as the guide states, you associate them to the ivr ports under the ivr object, not swich.

Great Thanks Fra, I'm also expecting answers for other questions (logs repertory and GVP application)

For GVP app, install LCA on GVP box, install the GVP template on CME and then create the application pointing to GVP, what this application will do is to control the "watchdog" service on GVP box.
As the logs, I don't think so.

Thanks Cavagnaro, the "76gvp_dep.pdf" on page 438 talks about this but i don't understand how it could works.
For the communication port, what should be the value ? A simple free port on GVP Host or a particular ?
For the Working Directory, Command Line, and Command-Line Arguments, do you have a example of values ? When i have installed GVP using GDT, the tools never asked me the address and user/password of Genesys Framework.

Oh ok,
See my screenshots for my GVP object. Remember to create the TServer_IVR as well.
-
Thanks, i just wonders about the service "CMEInterface" in Command Line arguments.
I don't find that kind of service configured after the deployment of GVP 7.6 with GDT
I just have a service "watchdog" which is launching a watchdog.exe file in CN\Bin
??

Hi,
I have GVP 7.2, I know architecture has suffer some variations, but can't tell exactly which ones. I'm going to install now a 8.0 GVP...so...doesn't have 7.6 installers.
However here I attach the screenshot of the CMEInterface GVP service.

I opened a ticket at Genesys support for GVP Apps in CME
i keep you in touch

Here is the support answer about GVP in SCI :
Thank you for screen shots. Yes, it looks like we cannot install/configure CMEInterface (configuration server integration) from GDT. Even deployment guide does not show any instructions.
However, I have tried the manual installation of GVP core components and it is asking for configuration server details. Since you have already deployed GVP and configured, you can apply the following workaround using “Third Party Server” in CME. Here are the instructions
==
Create an application template of type “Third Party Server” and define an application of this template type with following configuration.
a)
"Start Info" tab->
Working Directory: C:\GVP\cn\bin
Command Line: WatchDog.exe
b)
"Annex" tab --> "start_stop" section --> "stop_command" value set to "sc stop watchdog"
"Annex" tab --> "start_stop" section --> "start_command" value set to "sc start watchdog"
There is some description in the Monitoring third Party section on page 123 of the Framework 7.6 Management layer user's Guide.
==
This should accomplish your requirement without reinstalling or manually creating a service for CMEinterface.
I hope it helps. Please let me know if you need any clarification.

lol...who knows...I did classic installation.
Nice to have an alternative
